Sarah Simpson is a recruiting professional with more than 10 years of experience helping people find careers where they can thrive. As a Senior Talent Acquisition Recruiter at the Utah Transit Authority, she connects talented individuals with meaningful opportunities while improving the hiring process for both candidates and managers. With a background spanning transportation, healthcare, and retail, she brings a well-rounded and strategic approach to recruitment. A graduate of Utah State University, Sarah is passionate about problem-solving, communication, and creating inclusive career pathways. She has led training programs, streamlined hiring strategies, and developed tools to boost efficiency and collaboration across teams. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys singing, cooking, painting, and giving back to her community.
Sarah and fellow speaker Christin Lovat share a deep passion for supporting the disability community by helping individuals explore career opportunities and build long-term success. Their efforts have included mentoring students, participating in disability-focused career fairs, organizing tours and mentorship opportunities at UTA, participating in mock interviews, and serving as guest speakers. In recognition of their impact, they were honored with the 2024 Community Connection Award from Utah’s Department of Workforce Services for their joint work mentoring high school students with disabilities through the Utah Institute on Postsecondary Transition.
