About me
Amanda is an enthusiastic advocate for disability rights with nearly 20 years of professional experience helping people with disabilities achieve their individual goals. She also happens to have a lifetime of personal experience navigating the world as a person with a disability herself. With an educational background in Rehabilitation Counseling and Community Psychology, Amanda understands the unique relationship between community dynamics and individual need and is committed to enacting positive change that improves collective quality of life!
Amanda has acted in many different capacities to influence change in attitude towards and access for the disability community and has dedicated her career to the empowerment and enhancement of opportunities for people with disabilities. She currently works for Utah Transit Authority (UTA) as the ADA Compliance Officer and Staff Liaison to the Committee on Accessible Transportation (CAT). She seeks to promote disability informed decisions that reduce inequities while building capacity for systemic and societal change and hopes you consider attending this conference today as a call to action to do the same!
